Senior Technologist – Ecological Risk/Sediments EDUCATION 1995 - B.S. in Biology/ Environmental Science, Bowling Green State University 1999 - M.S. in Biology/Sediment Ecotoxicology, Wright State University KEY QUALIFICATIONS Mr. Lavoie is an ecological risk assessor/ecotoxicologist with a background in ecological assessment research. He has over 25 years of ERA experience, primarily associated with sediment/aquatic ecotoxicology investigations and monitoring/evaluating aquatic habitats for impacts resulting from a variety of chemicals of concern. Mr. Lavoie began work with CH2M (now Jacobs) in January 2001 and is currently a senior technologist in ecological risk assessment (ERA)/sediments and a national subject matter expert in groundwater-surface water interface (GSI) investigations. His technical expertise also includes terrestrial ecology, aquatic criteria development, net environmental benefit analysis (NEBA) and client advocacy with the regulatory community. He is the lead ecologist overseeing ecosystems projects for U.S. Navy, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and commercial sector clients. He has served as both a task/project leader and project manager for several ecosystems projects.
