Biography

Position: Expert at Deltares Mr. Wijdeveld joined several international platforms that deal with beneficial sediment use and Circular Economy (Baggernet, SedNet, SETAC, COSIA, CEDA, CEN/TC). In 2019 he chaired the CEDA position paper on beneficial use of contaminated sediment and since 2018 he is co-chair of the SedNet workgroup on Sediments in Circular Economy. In 2024 he was elected chair for the CEN/TC workgroup on leaching tests. In these platforms he translates his enthusiasm for sediment applications by working with many international partners to make a real world impact.
