Biography

Jeremiah Tao, MD, FACS is professor and director of oculofacial plastic and orbital surgery at the Gavin Herbert Eye Institute, University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. He is also the program director for the oculofacial plastic surgery fellowship and the ophthalmology residency. He has trained many surgeons not only in the U.S. but also several international fellows who practice around the world. He has written over 100 peer reviewed papers and book chapters in various aspects of orbit, eyelid, lacrimal, and facial cosmetic surgery and he has been the keynote or featured speakers at multiple national and international meetings. Dr. Tao’s national positions include meetings program chair for the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also the oculofacial plastic surgery subspecialty liaison to the American Board of Ophthalmology for which he is also an examiner and content writer.
