Dr. Visina completed the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut in 2019. Upon graduation, he joined the team at ISL and has been actively developing theory and practical solutions for advanced radar target tracking. His first project at ISL has been a DARPA-funded development of a non-line-of-sight tracker for targets in urban scenes, with recent work in advancing real-time radar simulation capability At UCONN, under the leadership of his advisors Dr. Yaakov Bar-Shalom and Dr. Peter Willett, Dr. Visina has advanced the theory and practical methods of tracking maneuvering targets, including highly-maneuvering/goal-oriented targets, and the track-to-track fusion of maneuvering target state estimates. His industry experience covers many engineering topic areas including process control, calibration and metrology, embedded systems, and software engineering.
