Biography

Mélissa Jarry holds a bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal. Over the past 15 years, since she started her career, Mélissa has acquired a range of experience throughout her work in various operations and in consulting, mainly in open pit mining. Prior to joining BBA, Mélissa held several roles with IAMGOLD at the Essakane Mine in Burkina Faso, West Africa. She worked as a Project Engineer during the mine pre-production phase and she later held the short-and medium-term planning engineer position and then moved on to long-term planning where she covered a range of activities such as equipment selection, cost estimations, strategic mine planning and mine design. Ms. Jarry joined BBA in January 2015. She has held various roles since then and is now Department Manager of the Mining and Geology group in Eastern Canada. Her strong field background and dedicated work ethic make her a key player to contribute to the success of many projects.
