Biography

Nick Atherton is a Technical Manager for Sellafield Ltd specializing in ground and groundwater protection and the management of land and groundwater contamination. Nick has 13 years experience in the UK contaminated land industry, initially work on site restoration of chemotoxic and non-nuclear radioactively contaminated sites. Nick has worked solely in the UK nuclear industry for the last 7 year based on the Sellafield nuclear site in Cumbria, England. Nick has a degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Nottingham and is a member of the Society of Radiological Protection and the Institution of Environmental Sciences.
