Biography

Mr. Patterson is a private consultant supporting the United States Department of Energy (DOE) Environmental Management (EM) Headquarters office. He retired 12/2020 as the Compliance Certification Manager at the DOE Carlsbad Field Office responsible for ensuring Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) mantained compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) nuclear waste disposal regulations. Mr Patterson had more than 20 years of experience at WIPP, with nearly 28 years experience in nuclear waste disposal, over his 32+ year career with the Federal Government. Mr. Patterson is a geologist, hydrologist, program and project manager by training and has been involved in environmental studies in excess of 40 years.
