Dr. Roelant is the Director of the Interdisciplinary Nuclear Research and Education Program at Florida International University (FIU). He has been active in energy, nuclear, environmental and defense R&D began since 1978. Over the decades he has helped lead or manage over 440 applied R&D projects with a value of over $154M. Dr. Roelant received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in Nuclear Engineering. He has performed research at 15 research facilities across the U.S. including the Naval Research Lab, Army Research Lab, Argonne National Lab, universities and commercial firms. FIU's Nuclear Program's 56 faculty and staff and span 12 departments, institutes and centers.
