Arthi Nadhan is a sophomore at the University of Michigan studying Chemical Engineering and double minoring in Biochemistry and Urban Studies. Last summer, she interned at Argonne National Laboratory in the Environmental Science Division under Dr. Margaret MacDonell. She worked on projects involving collaborating with sponsors of the US EPA to analyze worldwide installation of mercury capture systems, assessing global environmental health risks, and analyzing methods for citizens to contribute to nuclear waste management data collection. She currently does research in the University of Michigan Department of Chemical Engineering on using microfluidic devices to analyze metastasis in circular tumor cells.
