Biography

Zainab Birungi is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She completed her doctoral degree in Chemical Technology with specialization in industrial wastewater under the department of chemical engineering, University of Pretoria. Her doctoral research was key to addressing water pollution of industrial wastewater using waste algal biomass from eutrophic dams. She attained her Msc. Integrated Water Resources Management degree at the University of Zimbabwe. The presentation today is part of the findings from her doctoral research.
