Biography

Dr. April Gil has been working on radioactive waste management for over 26 years, first on the Department of Energy’s Yucca Mountain Project and with the Office of Legacy Management in Grand Junction, CO as Grand Junction Office Manager. April has Bachelors and Masters degrees in Geology from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a doctorate in Environmental Science from the University of Nevada with a research focus on the development of uranium resources on Indian lands and the history of legislation and implementing regulations for occupational protection for uranium miners.
