David Mays is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Colorado Denver, where he teaches fluid mechanics, water supply, and hydrology (surface water, vadose zone, and ground water). His research program investigates fundamental processes in groundwater remediation using concepts from complex systems science, specifically fractals and chaos. Dr. Mays has lived in Utah, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, New Mexico, California, and Colorado.
