Tatiana Grebennikova is a third year Ph.D. student in Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science at The University of Manchester, UK. Her Ph.D. project is on the development of molten salt technologies for the decontamination of nuclear graphite, an important issue facing the world as the disposal and clean-up of 300’000 tons of nuclear waste accumulated through reactor operation and during interim storage in fuel storage ponds. The research capability she has developed can be applied to emerging research areas like graphite behaviour in molten salt reactors.
