Biography

Dr. Gunnar Wikmark is Director of Asset Optimisation within BA Generation at Vattenfall, the largest Swedish power utility. This implies an Asset Management responsibility for the Nuclear Fleet but also Hydro Assets, including the already available and planned facilities for waste and spent fuel management and repositories. Dr. Wikmark has been active in the business for more than 30 years within fuel technology and in-core materials, water chemistry and materials degradation, activity build-up, radiolysis modelling, training in fuel and reactor technology; in management (twice president) and expert roles at ABB Atom, Studsvik Nuclear, Westinghouse Electric, and ALARA Engineering.
