Biography

Giusy Santamaria has a master degree in mechanical engineering. She started working with Tractebel in 2013 as a design engineer. She has been involved in the preparatory studies for the decommissioning of Doel 1 and 2 nuclear power units up to 2014. Currently, she is mainly involved in the clean-up and decommissioning studies for the ONDRAF/NIRAS (Belgian Radioactive Waste Management Agency) Site, where two cyclotrons were operated to produce radiopharmaceuticals. In this frame, Giusy is in charge of the drafting of the Final Decommissioning Plan with a main focus on the definition of the decommissioning strategy and specific dismantling activities.
