Biography

I, Iurii Simirskii, graduated from the Chemical Department of the Moscow State University named after Lomonosov in 1976 as chemist with specialization in radiochemistry. In 1980 I got PhD with the thesis titled “Investigation of the diffusion processes of components and admixtures in the system lead-tin-tellurium”. Since 2006 I have been working in the department “Rehabilitation” of the NRC “Kurchatov Institute” as leading researcher. The object of my investigations is the complete spectrometric radionuclide monitoring of the research reactors and the different technological reservoirs during dismantling using various radiochemical methods.
