GAO
Ned Woodward is an Assistant Director with GAO where he reviews nuclear security and safety programs managed by DHS, NRC, and DOE. He has spent much of his time focusing on federal efforts to prevent nuclear smuggling. As part of this, he has traveled overseas to examine US efforts to work with partner nations along key smuggling routes. Beyond nuclear smuggling, his work at NRC includes topics such as the security of reactor facilities, the development of advance reactors, and the rigor of the radioactive materials licensing program.
