Biography

As a Head of Spent fuel and Disposal Services in Fortum Corporation dr. Sami Hautakangas works closely with the nuclear decommissioning and waste management. During his career in Fortum he has had various roles and positions in nuclear waste management activities, which are related to Fortum’s fully owned Loviisa nuclear power plant and other Fortum’s partly owned NPPs. He has had a role in Posiva and SKB BoDs and participated actively to the public discussions related to the disposal of spent nuclear fuel. In addition he has been closely contributing to the R&D programs at national level.
