EPRI
Shannon Chu is a Senior Technical Leader at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) in the Used Fuel and High Level Waste (HLW) Program. She leads efforts to develop aging management programs for welded stainless steel canisters used in independent spent fuel storage installations. She joined EPRI in 2000 as a Project Engineer working on software and chemistry products and later transitioned to working in EPRI’s Materials Reliability Program. She received a bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Michigan in 1997 and a master’s degree in nuclear engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2000
