Biography

Leif holds degrees from Sweden in civil engineering (1960) and geology (1975). He moved to the USA in 1978, where he semi-retired in 2008. His professional focus since 1978 has been on siting and developing safe and secure, socially-equitable, containment and isolation solutions for radioactive waste in the USA, augmented by periodic support and/or review of non-U.S. nuclear waste management and disposition programs, including Finland, France, Spain, and Sweden. He has presented more than 80 related papers in the USA and abroad. He has served in various capacities on the WMS Program Advisory Committee (PAC)since early 1990.
