Biography

Stemming from a technical chemistry background, Dr. Oliver Rabe started his nuclear career in 1993 with quality assurance and process qualification of radioactive waste conditioning. Initially covering low and intermediate level waste and waste products with respect to characterization and compliance with storage and disposal requirements he moved on to manage TÜV NORD activities in licensing and regulatory oversight of storage facilities for spent fuel and high level waste. Within his responsibility to develop the application of TÜV NORD competence in overseas projects Dr. Rabe has recently been involved in projects dealing with legacy waste in a number of countries.
