Biography

Tom Wintle is a Deputy Director in the United Kingdom Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), with responsibility for policy on Small Modular Reactors, Nuclear Decommissioning and Waste. Tom has spent nine years working in energy policy, holding various positions including Head of Sir Ian Wood’s Independent Review of North Sea oil and gas production, BEIS Strategy, and International Engagement teams. Prior to joining the civil service Tom worked as a financial management consultant with Mercer Oliver Wyman. Tom has a degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University.
