Biography

Alexis Smoot is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering at Florida International University (FIU). Alexis is currently serving on the executive board as section president of the Society of Women Engineers at FIU and a general member of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES) and the Eco Engineering Club. Her professional interests include environmental remediation, energy efficiency, sustainable and renewable energy technology and research in emerging green technologies. She is interested in a career in environmental remediation, the renewable energy and sustainable technologies industry.
