Biography

Mr. Veenis is currently the Surface Water Program Manager for Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Environmental Remediation Program. He has over 25-years of experience in project management, risk management, contract negotiations, quality assurance, environmental permitting and stormwater management. Mr. Veenis has participated in successful negotiations with state and federal regulators including; New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on Federal Facility Compliance Agreements, complex NPDES permit applications, RCRA Consent Orders, settlement agreements and Clean Water Act lawsuits. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Geology and is a Registered Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control.
