Amanda White graduated with her Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2006, after which she worked as a postdoc at Los Alamos National Laboratory in the Earth and Environmental Sciences Division studying large-scale tree mortality dynamics. After her postdoc ended in 2010, she began working as a hydrologist in the Environmental Remediation Division of Los Alamos National Laboratory managing the large stream and precipitation gaging network across the lab. In 2018, she became Project Manager of the Surface Water Monitoring Group in the Environmental Remediation Program under Tech2 Solutions/Newport News Nuclear, BWXT (N3B).
