Biography

Since 2017, Tim Thomas is head of the department nuclear consultancy and since 2015 radioactive safety commissioner at Safetec GmbH. From 2015 to 2017, Tim Thomas was project consultant at Safetec GmbH. He is currently project manager for the commissioning of the release measurement facility at Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht (HZG). A graduate of the University of Cologne in nuclear physics (PhD, 2014), he was involved with nuclear structure experiments at Yale University (WNSL), CERN (ISOLDE), ILL Grenoble (FATIMA, LOHENGRIN), and GSI Darmstadt (HISPEC/DISPEC). 2007 – 2011, he was also lecturer for statistics and physics at RBZ, Cologne.
