Mostafa Ahmadzadeh has joined the Materials Science and Engineering program at Washington State University as a PhD student in 2015. His PhD research focuses on glass science for nuclear waste applications. He studies the crystallization behavior of high-level nuclear waste glasses during vitrification of the wastes at Hanford site, WA. Additionally, with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Materials Engineering, his past studies have involved him in varying types of research, from mechanical behaviors of metals, to electrical and magnetic properties of ceramics.
