Biography

Dr. Aruna Arakali is a AECOM Chief R&D Fellow Scientist, working as technical lead on Hanford Tank Waste Treatment and Immobilization Project. Prior to moving to Hanford in 2001, she worked on high level waste vitrification at West Valley for 12 years. She has held various positions ranging from scientist to management while gaining experience in tank waste and glass characterization. She is member of American Chemical Society and holds a certification from Institute of Hazardous Materials Management. She is currently providing technical guidance and consultation for waste feed acceptance and qualification program, and other related projects.
