Biography

Neil Carr is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and Fellow of the IMechE with over 35 years’ experience, working in the private and public sector of the Nuclear Industry. Neil started his career UKAEA Harwell, providing design support to research projects. From 1994 he has worked on Radioactive Waste Management with responsibility for the development of Waste Package Specifications. Currently, Neil is the Principal Engineering Manager with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) working in Radioactive Waste Management Limited (RWM) where he is responsible for the design development of a Geological Disposal Facility for disposal of high activity wastes in the UK.
