Biography

Ms. Economy is a currently employed with EPA’s Radiation Protection Division team as a Physical Scientist. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology from University of California Riverside and a Master’s of Science degree in Hydrology from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. From 1992 to 1999 she was a member of Sandia National Labs Performance Assessment team for the Waste Isolation Pilot Project (WIPP). From 1999 to 2007 she was a member of the Yucca Mountain Performance Assessment team. She joined EPA in 2010 where she primarily serves as a regulator for the WIPP.
