University of Leeds
Daniel is a postgraduate researcher at the University of Leeds, specialising in computational chemical engineering techniques. Daniel has previous experience at the UK’s National Nuclear Laboratory, working on a broad range of projects including Gen IV reprocessing techniques, modifications to Sellafield’s waste vitrification plant and decommissioning projects for Sellafield’s legacy fuel storage facilities. Subsequent to completion of his Master’s degree in chemical & nuclear engineering, he is now undertaking a four-year PhD studentship linked to the EU’s GENIORS programme. The aim is to develop knowledge of solvent extraction equipment through the study of internal hydrodynamic phenomena using advanced CFD techniques.
