Biography

Christian Ladirat is MS in chemical engineering. He started as process engineer at the French Atomic Energy Commission. He has more than 30 years of experience in Vitrification process development. At La Hague reprocessing plant, he participated in the industrial R7 vitrification facility commissioning and start-up. During 15 years, he leaded R&D project on cold crucible melter vitrification process. He is currently technical advisor exploring High and Intermediate Level Waste confinement by thermal processes. He is a member of the French Nuclear Energy Society
