Dr. Anthony Nettleton is a new postdoctoral researcher in the Offsite Source Recovery Program who will be working on developing techniques to characterize several types of sealed sources that do not have proper Acceptable Knowledge available. Previously he has worked as a postdoc at North Carolina State University studying methods of identifying nuclear device characteristics using gamma spectroscopy of fallout collected shortly after the event. He received his PhD in Nuclear Physics from Michigan State University where he developed techniques to identify fission fragments created in an abrasion-fission reaction.
