Ekkehard studied mineralogy at the Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg and completed his doctorate in the field of crystallography. In 1990, he began working in the Applications Laboratory at NETZSCH-Gerätebau GmbH as a specialist for high-temperature instruments such as dilatometers, DSC, STA, mass spectrometer and FTIR couplings. From 2003 to 2005, he was head of the Applications Lab at our subsidiary, NETZSCH Instruments Inc. in Burlington, Massachusetts. Since his return to Selb, he has been on the staff of our Laboratory as a senior scientist.
