Biography

John McDonald has more than 40 years’ experience in the nuclear industry including the U.S. Navy’s nuclear submarine program, commercial nuclear power facilities, and DOE sites. He is currently the manager of Organizational Performance Improvement at Washington River Protection Solutions, DOE’s Tank Operations Contractor at Hanford. In this position, John is responsible for the Contractor Assurance System, Facility Training, Procedures; Conduct of Operations Program; Human Performance Improvement Program; LEAN process improvement, and field-oriented culture improvement activities. In addition, he currently chairs the Energy Facilities Contractors Group’s Safety Working Group.
