Biography

Dr. Coutts has over 35 years as a professional in design and operation of chemical, high-hazard, and nuclear process facilities with a focus on fire protection engineering, hazard management and risk analysis. He has consulted on both U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Licensed and DOE projects, including the Waste Treatment Plant (Richland, WA), the Mixed-Oxide Fuel Fabrication Facility (Aiken, SC), the Los Alamos National Laboratory (Los Alamos, NM), and the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP, Carlsbad, NM). He is a licensed Professional Engineer and a Fellow in the Society of Fire Protection Engineers.
