Duriem has over eight years of combined project management, nuclear engineering, and health physicist experience in the nuclear industry, including both government and commercial sectors. Currently, he is the Fuel Fabrication Risk Manager for the United States High Performance Research Reactor (USHPRR) project. The USHPRR project looks to converting research reactor's fuel from using highly enriched uranium (HEU) fuel to use low enriched uranium (LEU) fuel as part of a global effort to minimize the use of HEU. In this role, I create, implement, and manage the risk’s framework to enable scale-up and maturity of nuclear fuel fabrication processes. I am also proficient interacting across multiple laboratories and DOE.
