Biography

Helen is a Nuclear Safety Inspector with the UK regulator ONR, specialising in waste management and decommissioning. She began her career providing technical information and engineering drawing support to Winfrith SGHWR decommissioning. Since then, Helen’s notable projects have included: site wide decommissioning plans for Italian sites, ILW specialist support to EDF operating reactors, and a fleet wide Integrated Waste Strategy for Magnox sites. Her role in ONR includes safety inspection and assessment on UK defence sites, including submarine dismantling. Helen is a Chartered Mathematician and is currently studying physics with the Open University.
