Biography

For the last 20 years I have worked as a nuclear regulator for the Environment Agency, England. This involves regulating nuclear sites, supporting the development of policy and guidance, and project managing research and development work. My current role includes: regulation of remediation at Sellafield; subject matter lead for radioactive effluents; and integrated waste management project manager. More specifically regarding radiological characterisation, I have worked with NEA characterisation task group; provided technical leadership to a recent nuclear sector characterisation themed inspection and am currently working with industry on a UK radiological characterisation good practice guide.
