Biography

Dr. Bernard PONCET, Mathematics PhD, is the Radwaste Management Senior Expert of EDF D&D. After 10 years in the EDF R&D and EDF NPPs operation, he joined the Waste Management and Dismantling Division and then the Nuclear Fuel Management as head of the Transport and Storage Division. After obtaining Bugey NPP graphite sleeves agreement and shipment to shallow disposal, he joined EDF Decommissioning and Waste Management Division to develop a mathematical methodology avoiding overestimation of activated graphite inventories. He has been working in Radwaste Management for about 30 years and attending happily WM Symposia for over 25 years.
