Biography

After a Masters Degree in civil engineering and a PhD in Material science, Lavinia Stefan began her career in 2009 in dismantling and decommissioning, working for Orano. In charge of developing sustainable solutions for waste treatment, she was in charge as project manager of several multi-partner research programs. Lavinia’s current research focuses on alternative inorganic materials for conditioning chemically challenging wastes as well as on innovative technologies.
