Biography

As the chief executive of the High-level Radioactive Waste (HLW) Disposal Project in China, Dr.Ju WANG, the vice president of Beijing Research Institute of Uranium Geology, has been engaged in site selection and site characterization for HLW disposal for more than 20 years. He is also the chairman of the Commission on Radioactive Waste Disposal at the International Society for Rock Mechanics. Under his leadership, a series of works related to underground laboratory design, construction and research for HLW disposal at Beishan site have led to major progress in recent years.
