Biography

Hussain Al Katheeri is a Radiation Safety Specialist at the Federal Authority of Nuclear Regulation in the UAE. He has 7 years of experience working at the Authority in the Radiation Safety Department responsible for the radiation protection and radwaste management at the Nuclear Facilities. His responsibilities include reviewing and assessing radioactive waste management systems and radiation protection during the design, construction and operation phases. In addition he is involved in the review of the NORM Treatment and Disposal safety analysis report. Previously, Hussain worked several years at the UAE Environmental Sector dealing with chemicals and hazardous waste.
