Biography

Douglas (Doug) Hintze is Manager of the Environmental Management Los Alamos Field Office with over 27-years’ DOE experience in engineering, safety, management, and operations of DOE nuclear facilities, including chemical processing and waste management. Prior to joining the Department, Mr. Hintze served nine years Active Duty as a Submarine Warfare Officer and retired from the U.S. Navy Reserve after completing 30-years active and reserve service. He earned master’s degrees from Virginia Tech and the U.S. Naval War College, and a bachelor’s degree from the United States Naval Academy. Mr. Hintze is certified as a DOE Level III Federal Project Director.
