Biography

Soroosh Mortazavian is a third year Ph.D. student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She joined Energy & Environmental Materials Laboratory (EEML), under Dr. Jaeyun Moon's supervision, in Fall 2016. She is currently working as a research assistant on synthesis, characterization, and application of innovative materials for water treatment purposes. Her research focuses on optimizing synthesis conditions, characterizing materials to assess their features related to water treatment applications, and performing water treatment tests in the environmental lab to evaluate materials’ contaminant removal efficiency. She obtained her M.S. in Environmental Engineering and B.S. in Civil Engineering both from Isfahan University
