Biography

Jess studied Chemistry for four years at Loughborough University where she obtained her undergraduate masters. During this degree she undertook two individual research projects and a research placement where she discovered a passion for investigating new areas in science, which resulted in her decision to embark on a PhD. She considered several different potential PhD topics but found she had an interest in investigating nuclear waste, specifically in terms of characterisation.
