University of Bristol
I studied Physics at Pavia University where I built and tested the new MicroMegas detector for the ATLAS experiment. I moved to Bristol for my PhD where I worked on several topics from muon tomography with RPC to semiconductor detectors. My main PhD topic was about a multi semiconductor detector system for gamma spectroscopy tat can be employed in severe environments, like nuclear power plant. The design, simulation, electronics and experimental test were performed by me at Bristol University, and now that my PhD is going to the end I can see the physical results of this 3 years work.
