Monia Kazemeini is a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Nuclear Engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her research focuses on the remote radiation sensing methods using robotic platforms, which is important for environmental security and radiological safety applications. She served as the Vice President of the American Nuclear Society (ANS) student section at UNLV and the student program chair for the Conference Nuclear and Emerging Technologies for Space. She is the recipient of the Scholar Award from the College of Engineering. Not only that, Monia has been an author of three journal articles, one book chapter, and eight publications.
