Biography

Dr. Ramesh Chawla is a professor of chemical engineering at Howard University. He has over 40 years of experience in teaching, research and industrial consulting in the fields of chemical and environmental engineering, including hazardous waste treatment. He has authored or co-authored over 100 technical papers and made numerous technical presentations at national and international conferences. He is a fellow of AIChE and a member of several honor and professional societies. He is a technical reviewer for several professional journals, and a reviewer for the NSF, NRC, DOE and EPA research proposals and fellowships.
