Biography

Katie has over 12 years’ experience in radioactive waste management and decommissioning in the UK, including 5 years at the UK organisation responsible for planning and delivering geological disposal. She is now a nuclear safety inspector at the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) specialising in decommissioning and radioactive waste management, currently regulating the Sellafield site. She represents ONR at the UK’s Nuclear Waste and Decommissioning Research Forum. Katie has a PhD in Nuclear Physics.
